Purpose

Digital producers and project managers have the opportunity to use their skills and experience as a consultant to help clients and agencies understand the risks, costs, and solutions for digital production.

Essential Duties

Client Consulting

  • Ensures client guidelines are followed on each project
  • Works closely with Clients to define production guidelines, cost benchmarks and communication best practices.

Digital Project Reviews

  • Evaluates Statements of Work (SOWs) and related documentation from agencies for clarity of all deliverables. Identifies missing or incomplete sections that may impact the delivery and cost of the project.
  • Reviews project timelines based upon Client expectations and review cycles.
  • Reviews the project breakdown of agency costs and recommends an approach to reduce costs where appropriate without sacrificing quality of production or creative integrity. This could include 3rd party costs for external vendors.
  • Reviews project change requests and helps to educate the Client on trade-offs.
  • Draws upon digital project experience to identify risks throughout project duration.

Communication and Client Management

  • Demonstrates confidence when presenting to mid-level client groups or when leading large Client and Agency team discussions.
  • Responds effectively to client questions and sets clear expectations for timing to complete requests.
  • Partners with the APR team and Client in a positive, professional and constructive way, establishing solid relationships and trust.

Experience

Successful candidates will possess the following:

  • 6+ years digital or integrated producer experience preferably with agency or production vendor
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Marketing, Communication, or associated field)
  • Experience managing digital marketing initiatives, including
    • Content creation for mobile/web/social (video a plus)
    • Large-scale web development
    • Application development (gaming a plus)
    • Online advertising banners 
    • Ecommerce site management
    • Nice to have (not required)
      • Social Influencer Management
      • VR/AR/MR (Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality/Mixed Reality)
      • AI/Bots
    • Advanced communication and presentation skills
    • Strong analytical skills - proficient in using spreadsheets to review cost estimates and resource allocations

Working Environment

  • Ability to work remotely (your home location) 
  • Must be able to work independently and complete requests in remote office environment
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time (approximately 90%), stoop, reach, bend throughout the course of the work day
  • Ability to work on computer including repetitive use of a keyboard and mouse for long periods throughout the course of the work day
  • Ability to vary work day and location as needed (based on the needs of APR staff and clients nationally and globally)

The Freelance Digital Producer role offers a competitive compensation package anticipated to be in the $50-$75/hour range, commensurate with experience.
